Senior Accountant-Consultancy background

Role Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end closing, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations. The role supports financial accuracy, internal controls, and business decision-making. Key Responsibilities * Maintain general ledger and financial records. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with IFRS. * Manage month-end and year-end closing activities. * Perform reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and provisions. * Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements. * Support audits and maintain tax documentation. * Conduct financial analysis and variance reporting. * Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes. * Work with ERP systems for accounting, reporting, and reconciliations. * Support budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. * 3-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE. * Part-qualified CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent preferred. * Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax. * Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Tally, etc.). * Advanced MS Excel and analytical skills.
