Senior Accountant

**OVO Luxury Signature | Dubai, UAE | Full-time, On-site** We're a Dubai-based luxury fashion house managing 20+ brands across atelier production, retail, e-commerce, and wholesale. We need a sharp, hands-on accountant who can run our entire finance function, not just bookkeeping, but the full picture: closing the books, costing every garment, tracking inventory across our atelier and boutiques, and giving us a clear P&L by brand. This is a senior, high-autonomy role reporting directly to leadership. What you'll own * **Full accounting cycle**: month-end close within 5 working days, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and audit prep * **Brand-wise P&L**: profitability by brand, season, and channel (retail, e-com, wholesale, consignment), with variance commentary * **Inventory accounting**: raw materials, WIP, and finished goods across multiple locations; quarterly stock counts; slow-moving and dead-stock provisions * **Bill of Materials & style costing**: build and validate BOMs (fabric, trims, labels, packaging, embellishments); calculate fully loaded cost per style; reconcile standard vs actual * **Purchasing & vendor management**: three-way matching (PO ↔ GRN ↔ invoice), landed cost on imports (duty, freight, clearing), vendor ageing, payment runs * **Revenue & channel reconciliation**: daily sales across Shopify, POS, marketplaces, and payment gateways; consignment sell-through; couture deposits and milestone billing * **UAE compliance**: VAT returns, Corporate Tax, WPS payroll, trade licence renewals * **Cash & treasury**: 13-week rolling forecast, multi-currency payments (AED, USD, EUR), LC and TT management What we need from you * **6–8 years** of full-cycle accounting experience * **At least 3–4 years in fashion, apparel, textile, jewellery, or another inventory-heavy manufacturing/luxury environment**, this is non-negotiable * Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting/Finance; **CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA strongly preferred** * Strong working knowledge of **IFRS, UAE VAT, and UAE Corporate Tax** * Advanced **Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory** experience (we run the full Zoho One stack) * Comfortable with **Shopify back-office**: orders, refunds, payouts, multi-location inventory * Advanced Excel (PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, scenario modelling) * You think instinctively in **style/SKU/colour/size** matrices and notice when a fabric invoice shows 47.3 metres against a BOM that called for 46.5 You'll thrive here if you * Have a forensic eye for detail and aren't afraid to push back on production, designers, or procurement on cost and consumption * Stay calm under closing-week pressure * Treat financial information with absolute discretion What we offer * Senior role at the financial nerve centre of a multi-brand luxury house * Direct working relationship with the Managing Director and brand principals * Exposure across the full luxury value chain: atelier, sourcing, retail, e-commerce, wholesale, consignment * Competitive package with medical insurance, and UAE statutory benefits How to apply Send your CV and a brief cover letter. **In your cover letter, please answer this in 150–200 words:** *"How would you build a brand-wise P&L for a multi-brand fashion house where shared overhead, shared inventory locations, and shared production capacity must be allocated fairly?"* Strong written answers will be prioritised in shortlisting. **Applications without fashion, apparel, or inventory-heavy manufacturing experience will not be considered.** Application Question(s): * Do you possess fashion, apparel, or inventory-heavy manufacturing experience?
