Senior Accountant **Job Summary** The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations, and supporting financial reporting and analysis. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead accounting processes and junior staff. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial statements and reports (monthly, quarterly, annual). * Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis. * Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. * Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes. * Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. * Coordinate and support internal and external audits. * Monitor and improve accounting systems and internal controls. * Provide financial insights and recommendations to management. * Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. * Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with statutory requirements. **Qualifications & Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred. * 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role. * Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS). * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Effective communication and leadership abilities.
