Senior Accountant

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in the Aviation Industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records and reporting. This role supports business operations by managing financial transactions, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The position plays a key role in aligning financial practices with the operational requirements of the aviation sector, enabling informed decision-making and sustainable business growth. Candidates must possess strong accounting expertise, hands-on experience with Odoo ERP, and proven experience within the Aviation Industry. **Key Roles & Responsibilities:** * Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). * Handle revenue recognition and cost allocation related to aviation operations and service-based activities. * Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities to support management decision-making. * Ensure accurate recording of operational costs, vendor expenses, service revenues, and aviation-related expenditures. * Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to management. * Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist with tax filings and statutory reporting. * Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit processes. * Maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial procedures. * Review and approve accounting entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. * Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and financial records. * Utilize Odoo ERP for accounting transactions, financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations. * Support the Finance Manager and senior management with financial planning and strategic initiatives. * Assist in developing and improving accounting processes and financial controls. **Qualifications & Requirements:** * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. * Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent is preferred. * Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in the Aviation Industry (Mandatory). * Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP software (Mandatory). * Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and accounting principles. * Proven experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. * Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. **Preferred Skills:** * Experience in aviation finance, aircraft operations accounting, aviation service billing, and operational cost management. * Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. * Experience managing audits and regulatory compliance. * Ability to identify process improvements and implement financial controls. * Leadership experience in supervising accounting staff or finance teams. **Key Competencies:** * Financial Analysis & Reporting * Leadership and Team Management * Strategic Thinking * Attention to Detail and Accuracy * Communication and Stakeholder Management * Problem Solving and Decision Making * Integrity and Confidentiality * Time Management and Deadline Orientation Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month Application Question(s): * What is Current Salary ? * What is your Salary expectation? * What is your Notice Period? * What is your Visa Status ?
