Senior Accountant (Part-Time Reliever) – Transportation Company

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our transportation company on a part-time reliever basis. The successful candidate will support the finance department during staff leave periods, ensuring the smooth execution of accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and general ledger activities.
* Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
* Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
* Perform bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Support payroll verification and related accounting entries.
* Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Coordinate with auditors and provide required documentation during audits.
* Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management.
* Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems.
* Handle other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in the transportation, or fleet management industry.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and UAE VAT regulations (if applicable).
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Preferred Skills
* Experience handling high-volume transactions.
* Knowledge of fleet-related accounting and cost allocation.
* Ability to immediately take over accounting responsibilities and ensure business continuity.
Working Schedule
* Part-Time / Temporary Reliever
* Flexible working hours based on business requirements.
* Duration: 1-2months
* Salary will be discussed upon interview.
