For more information, visit us at www.amideast.org. **POSITION DESCRIPTION:** The Senior Accountant is responsible for the preparation of clear, thorough, accurate and correct accounting documents in compliance with all Amideast accounting and financial procedures and policies using computer software applications. The Finance Supervisor works closely with the Finance Manager and other accountants to ensure that all financial documents meet the level of accuracy and precision required. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Receive requests for invoices from units, prepare the invoices and arrange the distribution of the invoices to the clients * Handle the data entry for all the accounts receivable vouchers and receivables collection vouchers * Responsible for customer service daily sales order review and entry on the Amideast Accounting System. * Monitor daily cash deposits in the bank * Responsible for corporate clients’ invoices according to contractual terms * Monitor corporate clients’ receivables status and follow up on collections * Responsible for petty cash expenses * Responsible for working with the Sales and Programs Division for resolving any problem in A/R invoices in order to speed up the collection process * Conduct a monthly physical count of the inventory storage in the main, customer service and compare the records with the Bookkeeper report * Responsible for submitting the updated monthly inventory sheet to Regional Finance Team after reviewing with the Finance Senior Lead and the Finance Manager * Assist in preparation for the monthly cash forecast * Responsible for backing up for the Cashiers in case of absence * Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial report. **QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:** ***Required*** * Bachelor’s degree in accounting * 6 - 7 years in the same field * Proficiency in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel * Knowledge of computerized Accounting Systems and other software Accounting applications * Excellent command of English Language * Maintains high personal work standards * Balances personal priorities and work demands * Encourages others with enthusiasm * Has knowledge of the department’s direction and understands why this knowledge is important * Spends time learning from team members and others to acquire knowledge or learn specific skills that have been identified as important or relevant to the Finance unit * Use decent language and an appropriate tone in communicating with others * Contributes to building an environment of trust and teamwork * Takes actions that demonstrate loyalty * Shows respect and comply with the company policies, standards and procedures * Organizes and schedules own assignments to meet known priorities and critical work deadlines * Responds in a timely, effective and efficient way to customers’ requests * Resolves customer complaints on time * Takes personal responsibility for delivery of results in a timely and high-quality manner * Shows a basic understanding of business goals * Constantly improves own contribution to quality of service * Makes an effort to remain up to date in own specialist area ***Preferred*** * TOEIC score is minimum of 700 or equivalent.
