Senior Architect

A Senior Architect in building construction leads projects from inception to completion, responsible for designing, managing project teams, and ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Key roles include developing technical drawings, conducting site visits, coordinating with consultants, and mentoring junior architects, typically requiring extensive experience in CAD/Revit software, zoning, and project management. **Key Roles and Responsibilities:** * **Design and Development:** Develop architectural design concepts, detailed drawings, and specifications for residential, commercial, or institutional projects using software like AutoCAD or Revit. * **Compliance and Regulations:** Ensure all architectural plans and construction activities strictly follow local legal standards, zoning laws, and health/safety codes. * **Project Management & Coordination:** Oversee project timelines and budgets, collaborating with structural engineers, MEP teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution. * **Site Supervision & Quality Control:** Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve site issues, and ensure construction aligns with design intent and quality standards. * **Client Liaising:** Act as the primary contact for clients, presenting project proposals, managing expectations, and resolving issues. * **Mentorship and Leadership:** Guide and mentor junior architects and drafting teams, reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance. * **Technical Documentation:** Maintain accurate documentation, including contract documents, technical evaluations, and BIM models. **Required Skills and Qualifications:** * **Education:** A professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or higher). * **Experience:** Typically 5-10+ years of experience, often requiring a professional license. * **Technical Proficiency:** Extensive knowledge of CAD, Revit, and rendering software. * **Leadership:** Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
