Join us. **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Construction Engineer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your advanced engineering expertise to oversee complex construction projects from conception through completion. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining full compliance with Saudi Arabian building codes and regulations. * Apply advanced engineering theories, concepts, and novel approaches to major and complex construction projects, demonstrating analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving * Direct and mentor a team of engineers at construction sites, providing clear guidance, support, and performance feedback to foster professional growth * Assume full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating complex engineering assignments on medium to large-scale projects * Conduct detailed design work, technical inspections, and engineering evaluations for infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards * Evaluate and validate contractor change order requests against contract documents with transparency and precision, maintaining detailed documentation * Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently while identifying and mitigating risks proactively * Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and project leadership through clear written communications and compelling presentations * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and Saudi Arabian regulatory requirements throughout all project phases * Negotiate with contractors and resolve conflicts diplomatically, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships * Organize and coordinate site activities, ensuring efficient workflow and seamless communication across all project participants **Qualifications** \*\*Minimum Requirements\*\* * Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field, plus a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in construction engineering or demonstrated equivalency * Professional Engineering License (PE) or equivalent international certification * Extensive experience performing inspection, design, and engineering activities on complex construction projects * Proven expertise in evaluating and validating contractor change order requests against contract documents * Advanced proficiency with CAD software and construction management programs * Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements * Demonstrated ability to direct and supervise engineering teams effectively * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual capability (English and Arabic) is highly preferred * Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to resolve conflicts constructively \*\*Preferred Qualifications\*\* * 15 or more years of progressive experience in construction engineering or related field * Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects in the Middle East region * Advanced expertise in budget management, cost control, and financial analysis * Demonstrated proficiency in risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and contingency planning * Experience with stakeholder management and presenting technical information to diverse audiences * Knowledge of HSE compliance protocols and safety management systems * Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and advanced project management software * Track record of successfully delivering projects ahead of schedule or under budget **Additional Information** **About AECOM** AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
