**Senior Electrical Engineer – Design Office** Residential / High-Rise Towers – Abu Dhabi Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE **Experience Required:** Minimum 15 years of experience, preferably in UAE/GCC residential towers and high-rise building projects. **Salary Range:** ***AED 15,000 – 22,000 per month***, depending on experience, UAE authority knowledge, procurement experience, and technical capability. For exceptional candidates with strong Abu Dhabi high-rise experience, salary may be negotiable. **Job Summary** We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our design office team in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be responsible for leading electrical design coordination for residential towers and high-rise building projects, from concept design through authority submission, tender, procurement support, and IFC package preparation. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in electrical design review, authority coordination, technical specifications, procurement evaluation, BOQ review, and coordination with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams. ***Key Responsibilities*** * Lead and review electrical design for residential towers and high-rise buildings. * Review and coordinate electrical drawings, load schedules, SLDs, layouts, calculations, and specifications. * Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, ELV, fire alarm, and infrastructure teams. * Review design packages from concept, schematic, detailed design, tender, and IFC stages. * Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi authority requirements, including ADDC/TAQA, ADM, Civil Defence, and Estidama where applicable. * Review and coordinate electrical load demand, transformer sizing, LV/MV systems, generator/emergency power, lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection, containment, ELV, fire alarm interface, and related systems. * Prepare and review BOQ, tender documents, material specifications, and technical schedules. * Support procurement by reviewing supplier/subcontractor quotations, technical compliance, value engineering proposals, and technical comparison sheets. * Evaluate material submittals, technical offers, compliance statements, and alternative proposals. * Attend technical meetings with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal management. * Provide technical support during tendering, procurement, construction coordination, and authority approval stages. * Mentor junior engineers and draftsmen within the design office. * Ensure designs are cost-effective, authority-compliant, coordinated, and practical for site execution. ***Required Qualifications*** * Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. * Minimum 15 years of relevant experience. * Strong experience in residential towers, high-rise buildings, mixed-use developments, or large building projects. * UAE/Abu Dhabi experience is strongly preferred. * Good knowledge of ADDC/TAQA, ADM, Civil Defence, Estidama, and local authority submission requirements. * Strong procurement and tender evaluation experience. * Strong technical knowledge of LV systems, MV coordination, transformers, generators, lighting, emergency lighting, containment, earthing, lightning protection, ELV coordination, and fire alarm interfaces. * Ability to review design drawings, specifications, BOQ, and technical documents independently. * Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit/Navisworks coordination, Dialux, ETAP or similar software is an advantage. * Excellent communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects at the same time. ***Preferred Skills*** * Developer-side or consultant-side design office experience. * Experience with Abu Dhabi residential developers or tower projects. * Strong ability to identify design risks, cost-saving opportunities, and procurement risks. * Ability to prepare executive technical summaries for management decisions. * Experience in value engineering without compromising authority approval or project quality.
