Senior Joinery Engineer

Job Summary The Senior Joinery Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, production, and installation of joinery works for interior fit-out and construction projects. The role involves managing project execution, reviewing technical drawings, coordinating with clients and consultants, supervising workshop and site teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage joinery projects from design development through production and installation. * Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications. * Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and project teams to ensure project requirements are met. * Conduct site surveys and verify dimensions before production. * Prepare and review material take-offs, cutting lists, and production schedules. * Supervise workshop production activities and ensure adherence to approved drawings and quality standards. * Monitor site installation works and provide technical guidance to supervisors and installers. * Identify and resolve technical and operational issues during fabrication and installation. * Coordinate procurement requirements for timber, hardware, veneers, laminates, and finishing materials. * Monitor project progress, costs, and resource allocation to achieve project objectives. * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. * Attend project meetings and prepare progress reports for management. * Mentor and support junior engineers, draftsmen, and site supervisors. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, Interior Design, or a related field. * Minimum 7–10 years of experience in joinery, interior fit-out, or furniture manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a senior role. * Strong knowledge of joinery production methods, woodworking machinery, materials, hardware, and finishing systems. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering/design software. * Ability to review and interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings. * Excellent project management and team leadership skills. Preferred Skills * Experience managing high-end residential, hospitality, retail, and commercial fit-out projects. * Knowledge of CNC machinery and modern manufacturing processes. * Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and fit-out standards. * Strong negotiation, communication, and client management skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
