Senior Mechanical Site Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and managing mechanical works at construction sites for MEP projects. The role ensures HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems are installed according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules. The Senior Mechanical Site Engineer provides technical leadership and coordinates with consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure successful project execution. **Key Responsibilities** * Supervise and manage all mechanical site activities for MEP projects. * Review mechanical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents before execution. * Ensure HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, chilled water, and ventilation systems are installed as per approved drawings and standards. * Coordinate with electrical, civil, architectural, and other MEP disciplines to avoid clashes and delays. * Monitor project progress, manpower productivity, and material usage. * Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project requirements. * Attend meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams. * Prepare and review shop drawings, method statements, RFIs, and material submittals. * Supervise foremen, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors on-site. * Ensure implementation of HSE policies and safety standards at site. * Support testing, balancing, commissioning, and handover activities. * Identify and resolve technical and installation issues during project execution. * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. * Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of works. * Mentor junior engineers and site staff. **Requirements & Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Minimum 8–12 years of experience in MEP/construction projects. * Proven experience in HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical system installations. * Strong knowledge of MEP standards, installation practices, and local authority regulations. * Ability to read and coordinate mechanical and MEP drawings. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools. * Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple site activities and work under pressure.
