Senior MEP Designer

We are looking for an experienced MEP Designer with strong expertise in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, and Fire Fighting systems. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed MEP design drawings, shop drawings, coordination drawings, calculations, and authority submission documents in compliance with UAE standards and regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements including DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, DDA, and Trakhees. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed MEP design and shop drawings using: * AutoCAD * Revit * BIM software and coordination tools * Develop layouts for: * HVAC systems * Plumbing & drainage * Fire fighting systems * Electrical & ELV systems * Perform engineering calculations including: * Heat load calculations * Duct sizing * Pipe sizing * Pump head calculations * Ventilation calculations * Voltage drop calculations * Coordinate with: * Architects * Structural engineers * Site engineers * Consultants * Contractors * Prepare coordinated MEP shop drawings and clash-free models. * Review consultant drawings and resolve technical issues during execution. * Ensure compliance with: * DEWA * Dubai Municipality * Civil Defence * ASHRAE * NFPA * UAE local authority standards * Attend site inspections and technical coordination meetings. * Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and material submittals. * Support authority submissions and approvals. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in: * Mechanical Engineering * Electrical Engineering * Building Services Engineering * Minimum 7 years of UAE/GCC experience in MEP design and coordination. * Strong knowledge of: * HVAC systems * Electrical systems * Plumbing & drainage * Fire fighting systems * Proficiency in: * AutoCAD * Revit * Navisworks * Microsoft Office * Knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection preferred. * Strong understanding of UAE authority regulations and submission procedures.
