**Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer – Job Description**
**Location: Dubai Head Office (Full‑time)**
**Position Summary**
The Senior MEP QS Engineer will be responsible for managing all cost, commercial, and quantity surveying activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works across building, fit‑out, and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent commercial awareness, and proven experience in the UAE/GCC construction market.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Prepare, review, and manage **MEP cost estimates**, BOQs, quantity take‑offs, and cost plans for building, fit‑out, and infrastructure projects.
* Evaluate and verify subcontractor quotations, material pricing, and supplier proposals to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
* Prepare tender documents, pre‑tender estimates, and participate in tender evaluations and negotiations.
* Review and certify subcontractor invoices, payment applications, variations, and claims.
* Conduct detailed cost analysis, value engineering, and cost‑saving proposals without compromising design intent or quality.
* Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
* Review MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation to ensure alignment with contractual BOQs and specifications.
* Coordinate closely with the project team, site engineers, procurement, and planning departments to ensure accurate cost control and reporting.
* Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow projections, and commercial updates for management.
* Manage variations, change orders, and claims in accordance with contract requirements.
* Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, project specifications, and industry standards.
* Support contract administration activities and ensure proper documentation for all commercial matters.
**Skills & Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
* Minimum **10–12 years of experience in the GCC**, with strong exposure to **buildings, interior fit‑out, and infrastructure projects**.
* Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, installation methods, and market pricing.
* Excellent understanding of cost control, commercial management, and contract administration.
* Proficiency in QS software, MS Office, and cost‑management tools.
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
* High attention to detail and strong technical understanding of MEP works.
