Senior Planning Engineer (Construction Planner)

**Job Description: Senior Planning Engineer (Construction Planner)** **Location:** Dubai Office – Full‑Time, Permanent **Role Overview** The Senior Planning Engineer will lead the development, management, and monitoring of fully integrated construction programs across multiple high‑end projects. This role requires deep experience in large‑scale, multidisciplinary developments and the ability to coordinate planning activities from early design through procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and final handover. The Senior Planner will work closely with the Dubai office leadership, project managers, technical teams, and site teams to ensure all project timelines, interfaces, and deliverables are aligned with strategic objectives. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive baseline programs (Primavera P6 / MS Project) covering all project phases: * Concept, schematic, and detailed design * Shop drawings and approvals * Material submittals and authority approvals * Procurement schedules and long‑lead items * Manufacturing, logistics, and delivery * Civil, structural, MEP, and architectural works * Internal and external finishes, façade works * Fit‑out, joinery, FF&E, OS&E * Testing, commissioning, and handover * Establish detailed WBS structures, activity coding, logic links, and critical path analysis. * Coordinate planning inputs with: * Architects, structural and MEP consultants * Interior designers and specialist subcontractors * Façade, elevators, kitchen, laundry, and other specialist vendors * Prepare interface schedules for complex mixed‑use and hospitality projects. * Update project schedules weekly or bi‑weekly based on actual progress. * Prepare: * Progress reports * Look‑ahead schedules * KPI dashboards * Delay analysis and recovery plans * Identify risks, slippages, and required mitigation actions. * Develop and track procurement schedules for: * MEP equipment * Façade systems * Specialist hotel systems (BMS, AV, security, kitchen equipment) * High‑end finishes and joinery * Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery aligned with site requirements. * Maintain planning logs, progress records, and approval trackers. * Support claims, variations, and EOT submissions with proper documentation. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, and client expectations. * Provide planning leadership to project teams and junior planners. * Work closely with project managers, technical office, and site teams to ensure alignment. * Attend coordination meetings (online and in‑person). * Provide clear planning insights to support decision‑making and project strategy. **Required Qualifications & Skills** * Bachelor’s degree in **Civil Engineering**, **Construction Management**, or related field. * **10–15 years** of experience in planning for large‑scale construction projects. * Proven experience in: * 5‑star hotels * Luxury office buildings * Mixed‑use developments * High‑end villa compounds * Strong proficiency in **Primavera P6** and **MS Project**. * Excellent understanding of procurement cycles, authority approvals, and construction sequencing. * Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. **Preferred Experience** * UAE/GCC project experience. * Experience with high‑end finishes, complex MEP systems, and specialist hotel packages. * Ability to prepare recovery schedules and delay analysis reports. * Familiarity with luxury fit‑out, FF&E, and OS&E coordination. * A **responsibility matrix (RACI)** for planning and project controls **\*Please apply only if you meet the above qualifications and requirements.** Work Location: In person
