Senior Planning Engineer - Join Immediately

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated **Senior Planning Engineer** to join our team immediately in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on major **infrastructure and building construction projects**. The ideal candidate will possess strong project controls expertise and a proven track record in delivering complex projects within approved timelines and budgets. Key Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, baseline programs, and progress monitoring systems using Primavera P6. * Monitor project performance against approved schedules and identify delays, risks, and corrective actions. * Coordinate with project managers, design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of project timelines and deliverables. * Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, executive dashboards, KPI reports, and forecast updates. * Conduct delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) assessments, and prepare recovery schedules as required. * Review contractor schedules, monitor progress, and assess compliance with project milestones. * Support tendering activities through preparation of project schedules, resource histograms, manpower plans, and cash flow forecasts. * Ensure planning and scheduling deliverables comply with client requirements, contractual obligations, Ashghal standards, QCS, and international best practices. * Support management in project risk assessment, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. * Coordinate planning activities across multiple infrastructure and building projects. Qualifications & Experience * Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. * Minimum **10 years of planning and scheduling experience** in construction projects. * Minimum **5 years of consultancy experience in Qatar**. * Proven experience in both **infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, and related works)** and **building construction projects (commercial, residential, mixed-use, institutional, or high-rise developments)**. * Strong experience in project controls, scheduling methodologies, progress measurement, and reporting. * Experience in delay analysis, EOT claims, recovery planning, and risk management. Technical Skills * Expert proficiency in **Primavera P6**. * Strong working knowledge of **Microsoft Project** and **Microsoft Office Suite**. * Thorough knowledge of **Ashghal requirements**, **QCS**, and international planning standards.
