Senior Project Control Engineer

**Job Title** Project Control Senior Specialist **Reporting To** Projects Control Manager **Job Purpose** The Project Control Senior Specialist is responsible for monitoring and controlling project performance with a focus on cost and schedule. The role ensures accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting while supporting project teams in managing budgets, timelines, and overall project performance. **Key Responsibilities** **Strategic Responsibilities** Support the development and implementation of project control frameworks, standards, and reporting structures Assist in improving cost control procedures and processes Provide financial and performance insights to support project decisions Ensure project control activities align with company policies and governance requirements **Operational Responsibilities** Develop and manage project cost baselines, budgets, and cash flow forecasts Monitor project spending and commitments against approved budgets Prepare and update cost forecasts and track financial performance Analyze cost and schedule variances and recommend corrective actions Prepare regular project control reports, dashboards, and performance summaries Support change management by assessing cost impacts of variations and claims Coordinate with project managers, planners, procurement, and finance teams Maintain project control systems ensuring data accuracy and consistency Ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures, and audit requirements **People Coordination** Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure timely and accurate project data Promote adherence to project control processes and best practices **Skills and Competencies** Strong understanding of project control principles including cost control and schedule tracking Experience in budgeting, cost forecasting, and variance analysis Familiarity with tools such as Excel, ERP systems, and Primavera P6 Good understanding of project lifecycle and change management Knowledge of financial controls and basic project accounting Experience with Earned Value Management is an advantage **Qualifications and Experience** Bachelor degree in Engineering or Project Management Professional certification such as PMP is preferred Minimum 10 years of experience in large scale or high value projects Job Type: Permanent Pay: ﷼25,000.00 - ﷼32,000.00 per month Application Question(s): * Have you used Earned Value Management EVM techniques in project performance monitoring? * Have you worked on cash flow forecasting and tracking actuals vs planned cash flow? * Have you worked on large-scale projects such as construction, infrastructure, oil and gas, or energy projects? * where are you from ?
