Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

***On behalf of a leading government entity in the UAE, we are looking to hire:*** **Position: Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer** **About the role** The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineers oversee the activities of the quality assurance for software and product design. Their job is to oversee the production of test documents, the creation of test procedures, and to ensure the successful deployment of company products. Priority for candidates with previous experience working on automating government processes, particularly the following: Business license registration, Construction and building permit and Real-estate management. **This is a full-time on-site role in Sharjah.** **Duties and Responsibilities** 1. Design, develop, and maintain test plans and test cases for software applications. 2. Review business and technical requirements to create comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases. 3. Write automated tests using tools such as Selenium, playwright, or similar. 4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize product features and requirements. 5. Troubleshoot, Collaborate and debug complex issues in a timely manner with developers and QA team members and verify defect fixes. 6. Execute manual test cases and document results and defects clearly. 7. Report and track bugs using bug-tracking systems such as Jira or Azure DevOps. 8. Maintain regression/Integration test suites, ensuring quality of every owned feature in each app release. 9. Mentor and guide junior software quality engineers. 10. Review Quality Assurance reports. 11. Ensure the successful deployment of products into the market. 12. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies. 13. Participate in design reviews of web pages to ensure usability, functionality, and alignment with quality standards. **Candidate Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. * **Arabic Fluency is a MUST.** * **Residency in Sharjah is a MUST.** * **English fluency is highly preferable.** * At least 6 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. * Hands-on experience in testing Android, iOS Mobile apps, Web portals. * Experience in manual testing of **web applications**, **REST APIs**, and databases. * Strong experience in one or more of automation tools (e.g. Selenium/playwright). * Experience in Bug Tracking tools: JIRA, TestRail. * Experience in API Testing with standard tools (Postman/SoapUI…etc.). * Experience in creating CI/CD systems. * Knowledge of software development methodologies and practices. * Experience with agile development methodologies. * Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. * Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly discuss technical issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and designers. * Certification in Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other relevant technologies is a plus. **Senior Quality Control Engineer** * Experience: 4–6 years * Budget: AED 18,000 – 20,000 (depending on experience) Pay: AED18,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month Application Question(s): * Rate your Arabic from 1 to 5. * Rate your English from 1 to 5.
