We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented **Senior SQA/QC Engineer** to join our growing team in Dubai and play a critical role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and reliability of healthcare software solutions.
**Position Summary**
The Senior SQA/QC Engineer will be responsible for establishing and driving quality assurance and quality control strategies across the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in healthcare technology environments, a strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, and expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
This role requires close collaboration with product owners, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of robust, secure, and compliant healthcare applications that meet the highest industry standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Quality Assurance & Governance**
* Design, implement, and continuously improve QA/QC frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures aligned with healthcare industry regulations and international best practices.
* Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, patient data protection requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
* Define quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to monitor product quality and process effectiveness.
**Test Planning & Execution**
* Lead end-to-end testing activities, including test strategy development, test planning, estimation, execution, defect tracking, and closure.
* Develop comprehensive test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
* Perform functional, integration, regression, system, user acceptance support, and performance testing.
* Validate software releases to ensure reliability, security, scalability, and usability.
**Test Automation**
* Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
* Identify opportunities to increase automation and optimize QA processes within Agile and DevOps environments.
* Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery initiatives.
**Defect Management & Quality Improvement**
* Manage defect lifecycle activities, including identification, prioritization, root cause analysis, reporting, and verification.
* Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and continuous quality enhancement.
* Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies for quality-related concerns.
**Collaboration & Leadership**
* Partner with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure quality requirements are incorporated early in the development lifecycle.
* Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, and release readiness assessments.
* Mentor and coach junior QA engineers, promoting a culture of quality excellence and continuous learning.
* Contribute to process improvement initiatives and organizational quality maturity programs.
**Required Qualifications**
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
* Minimum **5–7 years of professional experience** in Software Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
* At least **3 years of experience within the healthcare, health-tech, hospital systems, EMR/EHR, medical software, or healthcare services domain**.
* Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
* Proven experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar platforms.
* Hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks and tools including Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent technologies.
* Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
* Experience testing APIs, web applications, mobile applications, and system integrations.
* Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* ISTQB Foundation, Advanced Level, or equivalent QA certifications.
* Experience with healthcare compliance standards and frameworks.
* Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM, or related technologies.
* Experience working within regulated environments involving patient data and healthcare information systems.
* Exposure to cloud-based platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and performance testing tools.
