**Job Overview** We are seeking a qualified Site Engineer (Electrical) to support installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems at project sites. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, design engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure safe, timely, and compliant delivery of electrical scope. The Site Engineer will help translate design requirements into on-site execution plans, maintain documentation, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. The Molida sub-station project urgently requires an Electrical engineer, having proven experience in handling MV sub-stations construction, testing and commissioning with Saudi Electricity Company. **Key Responsibilities** Daily site supervision (civil-electrical interface) · Installation of: o Power transformers (30 MVA) o 33 kV & 13.8 kV switchgear o Protection & control panels o Cable laying, glanding, termination · Coordination with testing & commissioning teams · As-built drawings and site documentation * Support and supervise installation of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, earthing/grounding, standby power (generators, UPS), and electrical equipment. * Carry out site inspections and surveys; verify as-built conditions against drawings and highlight discrepancies to design and project teams. * Prepare and maintain installation checklists, cable routing plans, termination schedules, and punch lists; ensure work complies with specifications, codes, and drawings. * Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and site teams for timely delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment. * Perform and witness electrical tests (megger, continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, functional tests) and prepare test reports and commissioning documentation. * Assist in preparing method statements, risk assessments, work permits, and sequence-of-works for electrical activities. * Monitor quality control and enforce safe work practices; report non-conformances and follow through with corrective actions. * Update as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation; provide on-site training and technical support to operations and maintenance teams. * Liaise with project management for scheduling, progress reporting, and material take-offs; support cost-control and resource planning as required. **Required Skills and Qualifications** BSc in Electrical Engineering · SEC-approved or prior SEC project experience · NEC / IEC knowledge · Ability to handle SAT & pre-commissioning activities * Academic: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification. * Experience: 5+ years of hands-on site engineering experience on electrical installations, testing, and commissioning for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects. * Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of power distribution, transformers, switchgear (LV/MV), motor control centers, protective relays, earthing systems, cable management, and lighting systems. * Standards & Codes: Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEC, BS, or local equivalents) and health & safety regulations. * Testing & Commissioning: Practical experience performing electrical tests and preparing commissioning reports and punch lists. * Tools & Software: Proficient with electrical drawing reading, basic CAD or BIM tools, and MS Office (Excel, Word). Experience with commissioning/test tools and handheld meters. * Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordination with multidisciplinary teams and clients. * Valid driver's license and willingness to work at project sites; ability to travel as required. **Additional Skills** * Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-voltage systems, relay settings, and SCADA integration. Familiarity with project management processes, site supervision, and contractor management. Certification in electrical safety, first aid, or relevant site safety training (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is a plus. Exposure to BIM workflows, cable management software, or asset management systems is advantageous. **Behavioral Competencies** * Collaborative and communicative, able to work effectively with project, design, QA, and operations teams. * Problem-solver who balances technical trade-offs with schedule and cost constraints. * Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage tasks and deadlines on busy construction sites. * Proactive and adaptable, willing to learn new tools, processes, and contribute to continuous improvement. **Location & Reporting** Position reports to the Site/Project Engineer or Engineering Manager and will collaborate closely with Project Management, Design, QA, and subcontractors.
