Site Engineer

The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating construction activities on-site, ensuring that work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. The role involves managing subcontractors, monitoring project progress, and ensuring compliance with UAE construction regulations and company procedures. Key ResponsibilitiesSite Supervision & Execution * Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications. * Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. * Monitor work progress and ensure projects are completed within approved timelines. * Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and BOQs. * Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support to site teams. * Ensure proper allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment on-site. Quality Control * Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project quality standards. * Conduct site inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented when required. * Coordinate inspections with consultants and client representatives. * Verify completed work before submission for consultant approval. Planning & Coordination * Assist in project planning and scheduling activities. * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. * Coordinate material deliveries and monitor site inventory requirements. * Attend project meetings and provide updates on construction progress. Health, Safety & Environment * Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and UAE safety regulations. * Conduct regular site safety inspections and report unsafe conditions. * Promote a safe working environment for employees and subcontractors. * Coordinate with HSE personnel to implement safety measures. Documentation & Reporting * Maintain site records, work progress reports, inspection reports, and material records. * Prepare Requests for Inspection (RFI), Method Statements, and other project documentation. * Assist in quantity take-offs and verification of completed works. * Maintain accurate records of site activities and project correspondence. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. * Minimum 3–5 years of site engineering experience in the UAE construction industry. * Knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and project management practices. * Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and industry standards. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software. Working Conditions * Site-based role with regular outdoor work. * Working hours as per project requirements and company policy. * May require travel between project locations within the UAE.
