We are seeking an authoritative, technically exceptional **Senior Site Engineer (Electrical & ELV Systems)** to lead the supervision of complex electrical infrastructure and extra-low voltage integrations on-site. **Position Summary** The Site Engineer (Electrical) will manage the entire lifecycle of electrical works on-site, from high-voltage infrastructure and main power distribution to high-end architectural lighting and advanced Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems. This role demands a rare combination of deep technical engineering knowledge (substations, vertical transportation, backup power) and a meticulous eye for coordinating seamless, concealed architectural finishes. You will be responsible for enforcing contract compliance, verifying strict technical specifications, eliminating containment clashes, and leading testing and commissioning to guarantee a flawless project handover. Key Responsibilities **1. Power Distribution & Heavy Infrastructure Supervision** * **Design & Code Compliance:** Oversee, inspect, and approve daily electrical execution on-site to ensure 100% compliance with approved shop drawings, Issued for Construction (IFC) schematics, and international standards (e.g., IEC, BS standards, and local authority regulations). * **Main Infrastructure Verification:** Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of HV/MV substations, transformers, Main Low Voltage (MLV) switchboards, sub-main distribution boards (SMDBs), and busbar trunking systems. * **Backup & Emergency Power:** Oversee the installation of critical backup systems, including Diesel Generator sets, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, and Central Battery Systems (CBS). * **Vertical Transportation Integration:** Collaborate on the electrical power feeds, control interfaces, and specialized compliance monitoring for high-speed lifts and dedicated fire/service elevators. **2. Architectural Lighting, Containment & Premium Finishes** * **Luxury Lighting Execution:** Direct the installation of high-end architectural lighting control systems (e.g., KNX, Lutron, or similar smart-home systems), ensuring precise dimmer configurations and flawless integration with interior fit-outs. * **Containment & Spatial Coordination:** Coordinate complex cable tray, ladder, and trunking routing through tight ceiling voids to prevent clashes with structural elements and HVAC ducting. * **Aesthetic Alignment:** Supervise the exact final placement and flush alignment of premium electrical accessories (switches, sockets, floor boxes, and thermostats) to match high-end interior design layout grids perfectly. * **Facade & Landscape Lighting:** Monitor the installation of external architectural facade lighting systems, containment sealing, and weatherproof outdoor landscape lighting networks. **3. ELV, ICT & Fire Life Safety Systems** * **Extra-Low Voltage Supervison:** Oversee the deployment of advanced ELV infrastructure, including CCTV surveillance, Access Control Systems (ACS), Public Address/Voice Alarm (PAVA), and structured ICT cabling networks. * **Smart Building Integration:** Supervise the containment, wiring, and hardware interface installations for Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal automated control over MEP equipment. * **Fire Life Safety:** Rigorously inspect and test Fire Alarm Systems, smoke detection networks, and interface controls for smoke extraction and lift recall mechanisms in strict compliance with **NFPA standards**. **4. Testing, Commissioning & Site Digitalization** * **Testing & Commissioning (T&C):** Lead, witness, and document critical technical testing, including cable insulation/megger testing, earth resistance testing, lux level measurements, and integrated load-bank testing. * **Digital Reporting:** Actively utilize HAOarchitect’s digital project management platforms to log daily electrical progress, upload photographic evidence of inspections, flag containment clashes, and provide management with real-time site updates. * **Authority Approvals:** Coordinate testing schedules and documentation to secure final approvals and energization from local utility authorities.
