Site Engineers

The Site Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction activities at project sites to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. The role involves managing subcontractors, monitoring progress, ensuring compliance with HSE requirements, and maintaining effective communication between all project stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Site Supervision & Execution** * Supervise daily site operations and construction activities. * Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements. * Monitor site productivity and ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment. * Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and site workforce. * Ensure construction activities are completed within established timelines and budgets. * Identify and resolve technical and operational issues arising during project execution. * Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality and compliance. **2. Project Planning & Coordination** * Assist in developing project schedules and work programs. * Coordinate with Project Managers, Consultants, Architects, and Clients regarding project progress and technical matters. * Plan site activities to ensure smooth workflow and avoid delays. * Attend project meetings and provide updates on site progress. * Coordinate with procurement teams for timely delivery of materials and equipment. * Ensure all required resources are available before commencing work activities. **3. Quality Assurance & Quality Control** * Ensure all works meet project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. * Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the construction process. * Prepare inspection requests and coordinate with consultants for approvals. * Monitor corrective actions for non-conforming work. * Maintain quality records, test reports, and inspection documentation. * Ensure compliance with approved Quality Management Systems (QMS). **4. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance** * Ensure strict compliance with company HSE policies and project safety requirements. * Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks. * Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. * Ensure workers use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Report accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly. * Promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the project site. **5. Technical Responsibilities** * Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs. * Verify dimensions, levels, and alignment before commencement of work. * Prepare site measurements and quantity calculations. * Assist in reviewing shop drawings and material submittals. * Provide technical guidance to supervisors and site personnel. * Coordinate with design teams regarding drawing clarifications and revisions. **6. Documentation & Reporting** * Maintain daily site reports and progress records. * Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. * Record site activities, manpower deployment, and equipment utilization. * Maintain project documentation including drawings, permits, approvals, and inspection records. * Prepare material reconciliation reports and work completion reports. * Assist in preparation of project close-out documentation. **7. Cost Control & Resource Management** * Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage. * Assist in tracking project costs and resource allocation. * Verify subcontractor work quantities for billing purposes. * Ensure efficient utilization of equipment and manpower. * Support project management in achieving budgetary targets. **8. Client & Stakeholder Coordination** * Liaise with consultants, clients, and government authorities as required. * Address site-related concerns raised by stakeholders. * Maintain professional relationships with all project participants. * Ensure client requirements are understood and implemented effectively. **QualificationsEducation** * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical , Architectural Engineering, or related engineering discipline. **Experience** * 3–8 years of relevant site engineering experience. * Experience in construction, fit-out, infrastructure, MEP, or industrial projects preferred. * Gulf/Middle East experience is an advantage. **Technical Knowledge** * Construction methodologies and engineering principles. * Project planning and scheduling. * Quality assurance and quality control procedures. * Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations. * Contract administration and site management. **Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills** * AutoCAD * MS Office Suite * Primavera P6 (preferred) * Microsoft Project (preferred) * Quantity take-off and estimation * Reading engineering drawings and specifications **Core Competencies** * Leadership and team managem
