Software Test Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications through effective testing processes. The candidate will work closely with development and business teams to identify issues, validate functionality, and support successful software delivery. Key Responsibilities \* Analyze business and technical requirements. \* Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts. \* Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing. \* Identify, document, track, and retest software defects. \* Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues. \* Validate application functionality, usability, and performance. \* Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities. \* Prepare testing documentation and test summary reports. \* Ensure software quality standards and testing best practices are followed. \* Participate in deployment validation and post-release testing. Required Skills & Qualifications \* 3–5 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance. \* Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies. \* Hands-on experience in manual testing. \* Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, ALM, or similar tools. \* Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing. \* Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. \* Strong communication and teamwork skills. \* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. \* Knowledge of automation testing tools is an added advantage.
