Structural Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and creative **Structural Design Engineer** to join our Events & Production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and validating temporary structures for events, exhibitions, concerts, festivals, stage productions, and experiential marketing projects while ensuring safety, compliance, and cost efficiency. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and analyze temporary event structures including stages, trusses, exhibition stands, tents, grandstands, platforms, and custom installations. * Prepare structural calculations, load assessments, and engineering reports for authority approvals and client submissions. * Develop detailed structural drawings and fabrication documents. * Coordinate with production, project management, fabrication, and installation teams. * Review design feasibility and provide practical solutions for complex event setups. * Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during installation and dismantling. * Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and health & safety requirements. * Support value engineering initiatives to optimize materials and project costs. * Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities when required. **Requirements** * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. * Minimum **3–5 years** of experience in structural design, preferably within events, exhibitions, entertainment, or temporary structures. * Proficiency in structural analysis software such as **SAP2000, STAAD Pro, ETABS, or equivalent**. * Strong knowledge of structural steel design and temporary structure engineering. * Experience with **AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar design software**. * Understanding of international structural codes and safety standards. * Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills. * Ability to work under tight deadlines and support multiple projects simultaneously. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in event staging, truss systems, exhibition stands, and large-scale production structures. * Knowledge of UAE/GCC authority approval requirements. * UAE Driving License is an advantage.
