**Job Description: Structural Design Engineer** **Location:** Dubai, United Arab Emirates **Employment Type:** Full-time **Company Name:** Nad Alshiba Engineering Consultants LLC **Industry:** Engineering Consultancy / Construction **Experience:** UAE Experience is Mandatory **Position Overview** We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented **Structural Design Engineer** to join our engineering consultancy team in Dubai. The ideal candidate must possess strong design expertise, proven UAE project experience, and **advanced proficiency in Revit (Mandatory)**. The role focuses on structural design, analysis, and BIM-based coordination for a variety of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, international standards, and project requirements. **Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical Duties** * Perform detailed structural analysis and design using industry-standard software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, and Revit * Develop and review **structural BIM models and detailed drawings using Revit (Mandatory)** * Prepare structural calculations, design reports, and material specifications * Ensure structural designs are optimized, safe, and cost-effective * Review and validate design outputs, drawings, and calculations * Ensure compliance with UAE codes, **Dubai Municipality (DM), Trakhees, DDA**, and international standards (ACI, BS, Eurocodes) **Project Coordination** * Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and multidisciplinary teams for integrated design delivery * Participate in design coordination meetings and technical discussions * Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities during project stages * Review shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and method statements **Quality & Compliance** * Ensure all structural designs meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards * Support authority submissions and approvals * Conduct internal design reviews and maintain proper documentation **Qualifications & RequirementsMandatory Requirements** * Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred) * **Minimum 5–10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE (Mandatory)** * **Expert-level proficiency in Revit for structural modeling and detailing (Mandatory)** * Strong knowledge of UAE authority regulations and approval processes * Proven experience in structural design of residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects **Technical Skills** * Strong command of ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, RAM Concept, and similar tools * In-depth knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structure design * Experience in BIM coordination and clash detection using Revit/Navisworks * Familiarity with international design standards (ACI, BS, Eurocodes) **Soft Skills** * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities * Excellent communication and coordination skills * Ability to work independently and in a team environment * Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines **Preferred Experience** * Experience working in an engineering consultancy in Dubai * Exposure to high-rise, villa, industrial, or infrastructure projects * Knowledge of sustainable design standards (LEED, Estidama) **How to Apply** Interested candidates may send their updated CV and portfolio to: **[email protected]** **Subject Line:** *Structural Design Engineer – Application* **Job Type:** Full-time Work Location: In person
