We specialize in developing state-of-the-art Vertical Indoor Farming facilities, high-efficiency Food Processing operations, and cutting-edge modular AI Datacenters. As we move our projects from concept into construction, we are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Structural Engineer to own the detailed structural design, tragwerk modeling, and full construction documentation (Ausführungsplanung) across all of our physical assets. **Role Overview** Reporting to the Head of Architecture and working alongside our Lead MEP Engineer and their team, the Structural Engineer is the primary driver of Xantory's structural design and detailing. This is a highly hands-on technical role where you will personally execute all structural analysis, modeling, and detailing — from the structural concept through to fully coordinated, fabrication- and construction-ready documentation ( Issued-for-Construction sets). You will own the structural side of the BIM lifecycle for both steel-framed modular structures and reinforced-concrete elements (foundations, slabs, plinths, retaining structures), translating the architect's design and the MEP team's loads into a buildable, code-compliant, clash-free structural model and drawing set optimized for rapid, repeatable deployment. **Key Responsibilities** *1. Structural Analysis & Design* * Personally execute all structural analysis and design for steel-framed modular tunnels and buildings, RC foundations, ground slabs, plinths, and supporting structures. * Perform load take-down for dead, live, wind, seismic, thermal, and equipment loads — including the heavy, concentrated loads of AI datacenter racks, HVAC plant, vertical farming racking, and process equipment. * Use industry-standard analysis software (STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or Tekla Structural Designer) to size and verify all steel and concrete members and connections. * Design to applicable codes — UAE local codes, Abu Dhabi International Building Code (ADIBC), AISC / Eurocode 3 (steel), ACI 318 / Eurocode 2 (concrete), ASCE 7 (loading) — and document all assumptions and calculations. *2. Detailing & Construction Documentation* * Produce comprehensive, fabrication- and construction-ready structural drawings: general arrangement plans, foundation layouts, framing plans, sections, connection details, embedment and anchor-bolt details. * Produce steel detailing / shop drawings (e.g. Tekla Structures) and reinforcement detailing with bar bending schedules (BBS). * Deliver full IFC (Issued-for-Construction) structural sets that turn modular design concepts into precise, buildable documentation. * Develop standard, repeatable structural details for modular rollouts to maximize fabrication speed and minimize rework across sites. *3. BIM Coordination & Clash Detection* * Build and maintain the data-rich structural BIM model (Revit Structure / Tekla), fully coordinated with the architectural and MEP models. * Incorporate exact Electrical, Cooling, Plumbing, and Fire Safety inputs, openings, penetrations, and equipment loads into the structural design. * Perform rigorous clash detection and resolution (Navisworks, BIM 360) across all structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines prior to fabrication and construction. *4. Construction Phase, Site & Procurement Support* * Supervision construction, Issue site instructions, respond to RFIs, and resolve structural design queries from project managers, fabricators, and site contractors. * Review and approve contractor/fabricator shop drawings against design intent, and verify the build matches the structural model. * Review and benchmark contractor quotations and Bills of Materials (BOM) against the structural design to validate scope, quantities, and cost-efficiency. * Continuously optimize designs for material reduction, constructability, and speed of assembly. *5. Compliance & Approvals* * Ensure all structural designs comply with UAE building codes, Dubai Municipality and Abu Dhabi / Al Ain authority regulations, and Civil Defence safety standards. * Prepare complete structural calculation packages and drawings for regulatory submissions, third-party / peer review, and local authority approvals. * Coordinate with the Head of Architecture and the MEP team for integrated, sign-off-ready submission packages. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. * 10+ years of hands-on structural design and detailing experience, with a strong portfolio in complex, technology-integrated, industrial, or modular facilities (including but not limited to data centers, advanced manufacturing, steel-framed buildings, or commercial agriculture). * Expert-level proficiency in structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or Tekla
