Harlem Group is hiring !Position : Workshop Controllerlocation : BaghdadJob Purpose:Managing and developing the workshop. Providing technical support to staff and customers. Ensuring that maximum utilisation and quality is achieved from the workshop and customer satisfaction is achieved. Ensuring that repairs and services to vehicles are carried out efficiently and to the highest possible. Key AccountabilitiesWorkflow and Time Management: Organize and prioritize the workload within the workshop to ensure timely completion of service and repair jobs.Staff Supervision: Provide leadership and guidance to technicians and support staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance.Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their service requirements, provide estimates, and address any concerns they may have.Parts Management: Coordinate with the parts department to ensure availability of necessary parts and materials for scheduled jobs, minimizing delays and maximizing efficiency.Technical Support: Offer technical assistance to technicians when needed.Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service histories, repair orders, and warranty claims, and provide regular reports to management as required.Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources such as equipment, tools, and workspace to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.Other Tasks: To undertake other tasks as may reasonably be required. Including liaising with customers, working outside normal hours, supervising and instructing trainees. Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanics.Proven 2+ years of experience as a Workshop Controller or Job Controller.Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):Time Management.Leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.Knowledge of automotive systems and components, including diagnostic procedures and repair techniques.Proficiency in computer software for scheduling, inventory management, and record-keeping.
