Accountant

Description Job Summary A leading company in the Water Purification & Bottling Industry is looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions, preparing journal entries, performing bank reconciliations, managing employee advances, and handling cash receipts and payments while ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with company procedures. Key Responsibilities Record and maintain daily journal entries and financial transactions. Prepare and review daily accounting entries and ensure their accuracy. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies. Manage employee advances, including issuing, recording, and settling advances. Receive, disburse, and manage cash in accordance with company procedures. Prepare cash receipts and payment vouchers and maintain supporting documents. Monitor cash balances and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions. Follow up on outstanding payments, advances, and financial settlements. Maintain accurate accounting records and organize financial documents. Prepare periodic financial reports and assist with month-end closing. Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information. Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and internal controls. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience. Practical experience in daily journal entries and bank reconciliations. Experience managing employee advances and cash receipts/payments. Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle financial transactions responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
