**Accountant** **Dubai based** **Available to start with Immediate effect** **About the Role** We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing weekly and monthly accounting reports, monitoring financial data, and ensuring that accounting information is complete, accurate and up to date. This role requires someone who is analytical, proactive and able to manage large volumes of financial information while maintaining a high level of accuracy. **Key Responsibilities** * Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly. * Prepare weekly and monthly financial and management reports for senior management. * Monitor, maintain and oversee the integrity of financial data across accounting systems. * Perform account reconciliations, including bank, supplier and customer reconciliations. * Process journals, accruals and prepayments where required. * Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. * Review financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. * Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate allocation of income and expenditure. * Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities. * Prepare financial schedules and reports for management as required. * Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations. * Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and applicable statutory requirements. * Liaise with internal departments to obtain financial information and resolve accounting queries. * Maintain organised financial records and supporting documentation. * Continuously review accounting processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. * Undertake any other finance-related duties as reasonably required by the business. **Skills & Experience Essential** * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. * Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting role. * Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. * Experience preparing weekly and monthly management reports. * Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and data analysis. * Experience using accounting software or ERP systems. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * High level of accuracy and attention to detail. * Excellent organisational and time management skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. **Desirable** * Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA or equivalent), or working towards one. * Experience within a fast-paced commercial environment. * Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar. **Personal Attributes** * Highly organised and methodical. * Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information. * Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work. * Strong numerical and analytical ability. * Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. * Committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism. **What Success Looks Like** * Accurate and timely preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports. * Reliable maintenance of financial records and accounting data. * Effective monitoring and reconciliation of financial information. * Strong support provided to management through meaningful financial reporting. * Compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and statutory requirements. * Continuous improvement of accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
