Accounting Supervisor

Al-Atbaaq Al-Aalamiyyah is the company operating Burger King® restaurants in Iraq. We run 16 restaurants across Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, Kirkuk, Baghdad, and Basra, with more openings planned. Our head office is on Airport Road, Erbil. We are hiring an Accounting Supervisor to run the day-to-day accounting function alongside operations. The role is based in Erbil and reports to the CEO. What you'll do Consolidate daily sales reporting from all restaurants, reconcile POS receipts to cash deposits and bank statements, and investigate variances with restaurant managers. Run the month-end close: inventory counts at every site, cost of goods sold, food cost and labor cost by restaurant, accruals, and the monthly P&L per location. Process supplier payments in IQD, USD, EUR, and TRY, including international transfers. Prepare and track letters of credit and customs documentation for imported goods, and reconcile landed cost back to supplier invoices. Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and supplier reconciliations in Odoo, and keep the ledger clean and current. Own the closing calendar, coordinate with restaurant operations, procurement, and HR to get information in on time, and prepare schedules for tax filings and the external audit. What we need Five or more years in accounting, ideally in multi-site restaurants, retail, or FMCG. Hands-on daily use of an ERP system. Odoo is an advantage. Kurdish and English required. Arabic is an advantage, since we operate in Baghdad and Basra. Practical experience with letters of credit, customs documentation, and foreign currency supplier payments. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CMA, ACCA, or CPA, in progress or completed, is an advantage. Strong Excel. Currently in Erbil, or willing to relocate to Erbil.
