Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. **Job Description:** **BIM Lead - Wet Utility** **Abu Dhabi, UAE** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **BIM Lead - Wet Utility** to join our team! In this role you will get to **spearhead the implementation and execution of Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies for our Project Delivery Design Teams, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality deliverables.**. **What You'll Be Doing** * Supervising the production and management of the Wet utility BIM models * Ensure BIM modelling team have the right capabilities to develop the models in line with Parsons’ BIM methodology requirements. * Provide hands-on BIM software training, guidance, and mentoring to project team members (e.g., Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Forma, etc.). * Maintain rigorous quality assurance for all BIM package submissions, adhering to project standards and requirements. * Deliver timely progress and performance updates on a bi-weekly and monthly basis. * Establish and maintain a comprehensive record of all formal BIM-related communications. * Develop, manage, and maintain BIM Civil 3D libraries, including templates, styles, assemblies, subassemblies, corridors, and standard detail components. * Standardize families/objects, naming conventions, and parameter structures to ensure consistent use of Civil 3D across the project. * Use automation practices to enhance efficiency in model development and quality checks. * Facilitate the deployment of BIM-related hardware and software. * Direct and mentor Wet Utilities BIM modelers, fostering collaboration and effectively addressing design changes and modeling challenges with the Design Team. * Develop and extract precise 2D geometry from BIM models for internal reviews and coordination meetings. * Guarantee the delivery of Project Information Models (PIM) in full compliance with agreed TIDP, MIDP, and CDE protocols. * Review and provide feedback on the work produced by BIM modelers to maintain quality, consistency, and adherence to project standards. * Collaborate closely with the Design Team to manage design-changes, model updates, and resolve modeling challenges across disciplines. * Ensure that extracted 2D drawings, plans, profiles, cross sections, and details are accurate, consistent, and aligned with the live models. * Coordinate with discipline leads to incorporate 2D output into design packages and presentations as needed. * Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination sessions, including model federation, visual checks, and clash detection meetings. **What Required Skills You'll Bring** * Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken, with good capability in oral and written communication skills. * Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineer or related discipline from a recognized university. Masters degree would be an advantage. * Minimum 10 years of demonstrable experience of BIM design production experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably wet and dry utilities projects. * In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk products such as but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Forma. * Wide understanding of ISO19650 and Information exchange requirements * Proficient in a range of BIM authoring, scripting, design review, coordination, simulations and collaboration applications and/or platforms e.g. Civil 3D, Open Buildings Designer, Revit, Navisworks. * Experience with BIM upskilling and trainings. **What Desired Skills You'll Bring** * Experience in consultant and infrastructure projects preferred. * Automation and scripting skills (i.e. Add-ons, Dynamo, Grasshopper, etc.). * Prior experience working on projects in the Middle East/Gulf Countries is a plus.
