CAD Draftsman – Aluminium & Glass

**Job Summary:** MAQS Aluminum & Glass is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **CAD Draftsman** with proven experience in the aluminium and glass industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for aluminium and glazing projects while coordinating with the engineering, production, and site teams. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings using AutoCAD. * Develop aluminium window, door, curtain wall, folding door, sliding door, skylight, and glass partition drawings. * Prepare cutting lists, material take-offs, and fabrication details. * Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and production teams to ensure drawing accuracy. * Revise drawings based on consultant and client comments. * Conduct site measurements when required. * Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and applicable standards. * Maintain proper documentation and drawing revisions. Requirements * Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. * Minimum **3 years of UAE experience** as a CAD Draftsman in the aluminium and glass industry. * Proficiency in **AutoCAD** (2D). Knowledge of 3D software is an advantage. * Strong understanding of aluminium systems, glazing details, fabrication processes, and installation methods. * Ability to prepare accurate shop drawings and coordinate with multiple departments. * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. * Good communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with premium aluminium systems and custom glazing solutions. * Familiarity with UAE building regulations and consultant approval processes. * UAE driving license is an advantage.
