Civil Engineering Manager

**Job Summary:** MBS Construtora Engineering & Construction W.L.L. is seeking an experienced and delivery-focused Civil Engineering Manager to lead civil engineering activities and construction projects in Doha, Qatar. This is an excellent opportunity for a civil engineering professional who enjoys managing technical teams, coordinating complex projects, maintaining engineering standards, and ensuring safe, high-quality delivery. You will oversee civil design, site execution, technical reviews, project planning, resources, contractors, and stakeholder coordination across infrastructure and building projects. We welcome candidates with experience in civil engineering, construction management, infrastructure, structural works, roads, utilities, site development, or related engineering disciplines. **What you'll do:** * Lead civil engineering teams across design, planning, and construction activities * Oversee the technical delivery of infrastructure, building, and site-development projects * Review drawings, specifications, calculations, method statements, and technical submissions * Coordinate engineers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams * Monitor project schedules, budgets, resources, quality, and engineering performance * Ensure construction work complies with approved designs, contracts, and technical standards * Resolve technical issues and provide practical engineering guidance to project teams * Support tender preparation, cost estimates, project proposals, and technical evaluations * Manage design changes, requests for information, variations, and technical approvals * Conduct site inspections and monitor progress against project milestones * Promote effective quality assurance, quality control, and document-management processes * Support health, safety, environmental, and risk-management requirements * Coordinate with clients, authorities, consultants, and other project stakeholders * Assist with procurement planning and the technical evaluation of materials and suppliers * Mentor engineers and support team recruitment, development, and performance * Prepare engineering reports and provide project updates to senior management **Requirements:** * Experience in civil engineering, construction, infrastructure, or project delivery * Previous experience leading engineering teams or managing civil works is preferred * Good understanding of civil design, construction methods, materials, and site operations * Ability to read and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents * Strong planning, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving abilities * Good communication and stakeholder-management skills * Ability to manage several projects, deadlines, and technical priorities * Familiarity with quality, health and safety, environmental, and contractual requirements * Experience with roads, drainage, utilities, buildings, structural works, or land development is beneficial * Knowledge of engineering and project-management software is advantageous * A degree in civil engineering or a related discipline is preferred * Relevant professional registration or certification is beneficial * Equivalent practical engineering and construction experience will be considered **Why work with us:** * Competitive monthly salary with opportunities for performance recognition * Engineering leadership responsibility across varied construction projects * Career progression and professional development opportunities * Exposure to infrastructure, building, and civil engineering assignments * Collaborative and multicultural project environment * Opportunity to influence technical standards, delivery methods, and project outcomes * Stable full-time employment with meaningful leadership responsibility **About the Company:** MBS Construtora Engineering & Construction W.L.L. provides civil engineering, construction, infrastructure, and project-delivery services in Qatar.
