**Cost Accountant** **United Paper Industries Company (UPIC FZCO)** **Location:** JAFZA, Dubai, UAE **Join Our Finance Team** United Paper Industries Company (UPIC FZCO) is looking for an experienced and analytical **Cost Accountant** with **SAP expertise** to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a background in **manufacturing cost accounting**, **product costing**, and **SAP CO/FI modules**, who can drive cost optimization, improve financial visibility, and support operational excellence. If you have a passion for cost analysis, inventory management, and using SAP to deliver accurate financial insights, we'd like to hear from you. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform **standard, actual, and variance product costing** using **SAP CO**. * Prepare and analyze monthly manufacturing cost reports, including production, material, labor, overhead, purchase price, and usage variances. * Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. * Manage inventory valuation and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. * Execute month-end costing activities in SAP, including **WIP calculations, settlement, and variance postings**. * Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning related to manufacturing operations. * Analyze production efficiency, wastage, and yield to improve operational performance. * Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to strengthen cost control initiatives. * Maintain and validate **Bill of Materials (BOM)** and routing data to ensure accurate product costing. * Support internal and external audits relating to inventory and costing. * Assist with project capitalization and monitor CAPEX expenditures. * Provide management with actionable financial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. * Professional certification such as **CMA, ACCA, or CPA** is an advantage. **Experience** * **3–7 years of proven experience** in **manufacturing cost accounting**. * Strong knowledge of **product costing, inventory accounting, variance analysis, and manufacturing finance**. * **Hands-on experience with SAP (CO/FI modules) is essential.** * Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly preferred. **Required Skills** * Advanced knowledge of **SAP CO/FI** and manufacturing costing processes. * Strong understanding of standard costing, actual costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. * Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. **Equal Opportunity Employer** UPIC FZCO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
