Deputy Head of Unit- Operational Risk

Position: Deputy Head of Unit- Operational RiskWork location: Iraq-BaghdadWorkdays: 5Work time: Full Time 1. Main Responsibilities and Duties • Performing all duties assigned to the Head of Risk Management in their absence.• Day-to-day operational duties to ensure on-time implementation of the company’s approved operational risk management framework.• Supervising performance of unit staff and reviewing their reports.• Analyzing operational incidents and assessing their potential impact on the institution.• Collecting data and monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and providing support analysis.• Contributing to the preparation of periodic risk reports submitted to senior management and regulatory authorities.• Ensuring the department’s compliance with the Central Bank of Iraq’s risk management policies and procedures.• Supporting the process of identifying and assessing emerging risks and proposing recommendations to mitigate them.• Supporting and following up on CBI requests, requirements, and reporting in respect to Operational Risk. 2. Education and Trainings/ Experience • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Law.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, banking, or electronic payment institutions.• Familiarity with regulatory instructions issued by the Central Bank of Iraq.• Completion of at least 75 hours of training in operational risk management3. Skills and Competencies • Strong analysis and reporting skills.• Strong leadership skills.• Decision maker.• High-level communication skills.• Ability to work under pressure.
