Draftsman

**Job Title:** Joinery Draftsman **Department:** Production / Design **Reports To:** Head Designer/Managing Partner **Job Summary** The Joinery Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for joinery and fit-out projects. The role involves translating design concepts into accurate, production-ready drawings, coordinating with designers, engineers, and production teams, and ensuring all drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards. **Key Responsibilities** Prepare detailed shop drawings, layout drawings, and as-built drawings for joinery and interior fit-out works. Interpret architectural and interior design drawings and convert them into technical joinery drawings. Produce cutting lists, material specifications, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities). Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and production teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs. Ensure all drawings comply with project requirements, local authority regulations, and company standards. Revise drawings based on client comments, site conditions, and design changes. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for technical clarifications. Conduct site visits when required to take measurements and verify conditions. Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions. Support production team by providing detailed technical guidance. **Requirements** Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or related field. Minimum \*3–5 years\* of experience in joinery, woodworking, or interior fit-out drafting. Proficiency in **AutoCAD (mandatory)**; knowledge of **SketchUp**, **3ds Max**, or similar software is an advantage. Strong understanding of joinery details, materials (MDF, plywood, laminates, veneers), and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret architectural and design drawings. Knowledge of UAE standards and site practices is preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
