Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Mechanical Draftsman** to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical shop drawings, technical documentation, assembly layouts, and 3D visualizations for custom mechanical components, HVAC/piping systems, and industrial equipment. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical fabrication techniques, material specifications, and tolerance standards, along with the ability to translate design concepts into precise, production-ready technical drawings for manufacturing and client approvals. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop accurate 2D manufacturing/shop drawings and 3D CAD models using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor. * Prepare detailed bill of materials (BOM), exploded assembly views, and component specifications. * Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers and fabrication teams to ensure drawings conform to design intent and manufacturing standards. * Review client requirements, design concepts, and site measurements to resolve technical discrepancies prior to fabrication. * Maintain organized digital files, drawing revision logs, and technical archives. **Key Qualifications & Skills** * **Education:** Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant CAD drafting certification. * **Experience:** Proven experience as a Mechanical Draftsman within a mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or MEP environment. * **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Revit (MEP). * **Knowledge:** Solid grasp of mechanical fabrication techniques, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and material properties. * Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet tight production deadlines.
