تفاصيل الوظيفة

**Position Objective:** The Low Current Engineer supervises the Contractor's extra-low-voltage (ELV) systems across off-site manufacturing and on-site installation. The role reviews and approves the detailed design, drawings and submittals, witnesses testing and commissioning, and accepts the works against the project requirements, specifications and Saudi codes, before the PMC's final approval. **Job Description & Responsibilities:** Key responsibilities of the ELV & Low Current Engineer on the modular building construction supervision team: * Review and approve the ELV detailed design and Issued-For-Construction (IFC) drawings from the Designer or the design-build Contractor, together with the Contractor's shop drawings and as-built drawings. * Review and approve the Contractor's method statements (MS), material approval requests (MAR), inspection and test plans (ITP) and prequalification documents (PQD) for ELV subcontractors, before work or procurement starts. * Supervise and inspect ELV works in the factory for the off-site modules and on site for infrastructure and module erection. * Respond to the Contractor's material inspection requests (MIR) and work inspection requests (WIR) at the agreed hold and witness points, checking certificates and submittals against approved data before anything is built into the works. * Verify that ELV installations follow the approved design, project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and SBC 801 for fire and SBC 1101 for energy. * Witness the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of ELV equipment and panels at the factory, then the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) once the systems are installed and integrated on site. * Witness and verify testing and commissioning across CCTV, access control, building management systems (BMS), fire alarm, public address, structured cabling, intrusion detection, audio-visual (AV), master clock and IPTV, with strong depth in several of these systems. * Run the integrated cause-and-effect and matrix verification, confirming the fire alarm correctly drives access control, BMS, lifts and public address under each scenario. * Verify the IP network, head-end and server-room build, including racks, power, cooling and labelling, before the systems go live. * Raise Site Observation Reports (SORs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where work fails specification, track each to verified close-out, and coordinate ELV interfaces with the electrical, mechanical and fire-protection disciplines, supporting the Civil Defense and SALAMA final inspection. * Review the Contractor's ELV quantities and payment applications as the first check before the PMC, verify the as-built records, configuration backups, warranties, operation manuals and the handover spare-parts schedule, confirm operator training is delivered, and provide daily, weekly and monthly input to the Project Manager. **Qualifications & Experience:** * An accredited bachelor's degree in electrical or communications engineering, with registration or eligibility with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE); Professional Engineer (PE) accreditation is preferred. * Minimum 8 years supervising and witnessing testing and commissioning across ELV systems, with strong depth in several of CCTV, access control, building management systems, fire alarm, public address and structured cabling. An ELV-exclusive career is not required; electrical engineers with genuine ELV depth are welcome. * Sound knowledge of ELV standards and life-safety requirements, including fire alarm and public-address compliance with SBC 801 and the Civil Defense rules. * Practical command of the submittal and inspection workflow: method statements, material and work inspection requests, inspection and test plans, and prequalification documents. * Familiar with testing interfaces and commissioning methodologies, fluent with mainstream project and supervision systems (for example Primavera P6, Aconex and AutoCAD), and quick to adopt the Consultant's in-house systems. * Experience on modular, prefabricated or precast construction or Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) programs is an advantage. * Saudi or Gulf (GCC) construction-supervision experience and familiarity with Civil Defense / SALAMA and the Saudi Building Code (SBC) are highly preferred. * Good written and spoken English for inspection records and reporting; Arabic is an advantage. * Open to international and Saudi candidates, who must be legally eligible to work in Saudi Arabia. The role is based across multiple cities in the Kingdom, and some travel may be required.
