Geotechnical Engineer

##### **Overview** #### **Job Details** Carry out geotechnical design for foundation systems across a range of construction projects and structural applications. Develop engineering solutions for slope stability, landslide mitigation, retaining structures, embankments, and ground support systems. Perform stability and geotechnical analyses by considering soil properties, groundwater conditions, structural loads, and seismic factors. Review geotechnical investigation reports and site data, then prepare accurate technical reports and engineering recommendations. Prepare technical specifications, calculations, and supporting documents for earthworks, foundation works, and tender submissions. Work closely with structural engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure coordinated and effective design solutions. Conduct site inspections when required and provide technical guidance during construction and geotechnical activities. Analyze engineering data and contribute practical recommendations to improve project performance and design efficiency. Ensure all geotechnical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements. Keep up to date with industry practices, technical developments, and engineering standards to support continuous improvement. Assist in reviewing contractor submissions and provide technical input during project implementation when required. #### **Job Experience Requirements** Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical design, foundation engineering, or a similar role. Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required, while experience with GeoSuite or similar geotechnical software will be an advantage. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team. Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to project work. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret technical and geotechnical data accurately. Willingness to travel for site inspections and provide technical support during project execution when required. Good understanding of geotechnical investigations, soil mechanics, and foundation design principles will be considered an advantage.
