Mechanical Engineer (MEP)

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP projects. The candidate shall be responsible for overseeing and supervising MEP activities at the project site, ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. The Mechanical Engineer will report directly to the Project Manager and support the successful delivery of the project. **Key Responsibilities:** · Supervise and monitor all mechanical and MEP works at the project site. · Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of works. · Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals. · Ensure that all MEP installations comply with project specifications, local authority requirements, and applicable standards. · Identify and report any technical issues, delays, or risks affecting project execution and recommend corrective actions. · Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams to resolve interface and coordination issues. · Ensure implementation of quality control procedures and maintain site documentation. · Assist in testing, commissioning, and handing over of MEP systems. · Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements. · Verify quantities and support the preparation of progress claims and variation submissions when required. · Attend project meetings and provide updates on site activities to the Project Manager. · Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment at site. **Qualifications and Requirements:** · Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. · Minimum 3 years of experience in MEP construction projects. · knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Building Services systems. · Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. · Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit will be an added advantage. · Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities simultaneously. · Familiarity with local authority regulations and construction standards. **Reporting Structure:** · Reports directly to the Project Manager. **Preferred Skills:** · Strong organizational and time management skills. · Experience in testing and commissioning activities. · Ability to prepare technical reports and maintain project records. · Team-oriented with a proactive approach to resolving site issues.
