Procurement Manager

Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Procurement Manager to join one of our clients in Erbil! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing and purchasing of premium furniture, furnishings, materials, and related products, developing procurement strategies, identifying and managing local and international suppliers, negotiating competitive terms, and ensuring the timely procurement of high-quality products that meet the client's standards and customer expectations. Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the client's business objectives, product range, and quality standards. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier identification, sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, purchasing, and delivery follow-up. Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with local and international suppliers, manufacturers, and furniture brands. Source premium furniture, home furnishings, accessories, fabrics, finishes, and related materials while ensuring quality, design, and pricing requirements are met. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and contractual agreements with suppliers. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, product trends, pricing developments, and sourcing opportunities within the premium furniture industry. Evaluate supplier performance based on product quality, pricing, reliability, delivery timelines, and after-sales support. Coordinate with sales, design, warehouse, logistics, and finance teams to ensure procurement activities meet operational and customer requirements. Monitor purchase orders, shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels to prevent delays and product shortages. Ensure that procured products meet approved specifications, quality expectations, and brand standards. Manage procurement budgets, control purchasing costs, and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality. Oversee supplier documentation, purchase records, contracts, and procurement reports. Address supplier-related issues, delivery discrepancies, damaged goods, and quality concerns. Lead and supervise the procurement team, ensuring effective coordination, accountability, and performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or any related field. (5-7) years of proven procurement experience, preferably within the premium furniture, luxury furniture, interior design, or home furnishings industry. Proven experience managing local and international suppliers and handling procurement operations. Strong knowledge of furniture products, materials, finishes, manufacturing processes, and quality standards. Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiations, purchasing strategies, and cost management. Excellent understanding of international sourcing, shipping, logistics, and import procedures.
