Production Chemist

We are seeking an experienced Production Chemist with practical expertise in oilfield production chemicals, refinery chemicals, industrial water treatment, or refinery catalysts. Key Responsibilities: Recommend, test, and optimize chemical treatment programs. Conduct laboratory testing and field trials. Determine suitable products, injection points, and dosage rates. Monitor treatment performance and troubleshoot operational issues. Prepare technical proposals, trial procedures, and performance reports. Support clients, sales teams, tenders, and technical presentations. Ensure safe chemical handling and compliance with HSE requirements. Candidate Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field. Proven practical experience with production or refinery chemicals. Strong knowledge of chemicals such as demulsifiers, corrosion and scale inhibitors, antifoams, water clarifiers, biocides, scavengers, and water-treatment chemicals. Experience in chemical testing, dosage calculation, field trials, performance monitoring, and optimization. Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills. Fluency in English; Arabic and Kurdish are highly valued. Willingness to travel regularly throughout Iraq.
