Terms of reference Job Title: Programme Coordinator Iraq/Jordan Code: SR-29-10286 Duty station: Erbil, with missions to Jordan and visits to the projects' locations Starting date: 11/04/2026 Contract duration: 3,5 months Reporting to: Head of Mission Functional Supervisor: Regional Programme Coordinator Supervision of: project managers Type Of Duty Station General context of the project INTERSOS is actively engaged in humanitarian work across Iraq and Jordan, focusing at core on Protection services, with additional thematic sectors like Education being key in Iraq. INTERSOS has maintained a presence in Iraq since 2003, where it currently operates across the governorates of Ninewa, Salah Al Din (SAD), Erbil, and Sulaymaniyah. The main coordination office is in Erbil, supported by field offices. The programmatic approach aims at providing essential lifesaving services to IDP, refugees, and host communities. In iraq, INTERSOS is a major protection actor, offering a comprehensive package of services both in-camp and out-of-camp, including Case Management, MHPSS and Legal services. Supported access to formal and non-formal education for Syrian refugees and Iraqi IDPs, particularly in the Kurdistan region, is a complementary key pillar of INTERSOS interventions in Iraq. The current environment is leading to an exciting transition from traditional humanitarian interventions to longer-term durable solutions, stabilization, and development interventions, albeit critical humanitarian needs remain present, Iraq being today a neglected crisis INTERSOS began its work in Jordan in 2012 where it continues to assist Refugees and the Host Communities in urban and peri-urban areas, with a specific focus on the most vulnerable groups. A coordination and joint field office is located in Amman. with active operations and field offices in both the south and north of the country (Irbid, Karak, Ma'an). Protection, including Child Protection, prevention and response to Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and specialized assistance to persons at heightened risk are at the core of INTERSOS programming in Jordan. Community-based approaches and localization are the foundations of the programming, implemented through Community-Based Protection programmes and strategic partnerships with Local NGOs and CBOs (Community-Based Organizations).
