Job Description: Research Software Developer **Company:** Research-Experts IT **Location:** Dhahran, Saudi Arabia Position Overview Research-Experts IT is seeking a skilled and motivated **Research Software Developer** to design, develop, and maintain advanced software solutions that support research, innovation, and technology-driven projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with researchers, engineers, and technical teams to build reliable, scalable, and high-performance software applications that address complex research challenges. Key Responsibilities * Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and research-focused tools. * Collaborate with researchers and subject matter experts to translate scientific and technical requirements into effective software solutions. * Design and implement clean, efficient, and maintainable code following software development best practices. * Conduct software analysis, debugging, optimization, and performance improvements. * Support data processing, simulation, modeling, automation, and research workflows through software development. * Develop APIs, user interfaces, databases, and computational tools as required by project needs. * Participate in software architecture design, documentation, code reviews, and technical discussions. * Integrate emerging technologies and development methodologies to improve research capabilities. * Ensure software quality through testing, version control, and continuous improvement practices. * Prepare technical documentation, reports, and user guides for developed solutions. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. * Proven experience in software development, research computing, or a related technical role. * Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, or similar. * Experience with software development frameworks, databases, and modern development tools. * Knowledge of software engineering principles, algorithms, data structures, and system design. * Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop practical solutions. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications * Experience working in research, academic, engineering, or scientific environments. * Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, cloud computing, or high-performance computing. * Experience with scientific computing, simulation platforms, or research software development. * Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices. * Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative software development workflows.
