The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain advanced software solutions that support research initiatives, data-driven projects, and technology innovation. This role requires a strong combination of software engineering expertise, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate with researchers, engineers, and technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications and research platforms. * Translate research requirements into scalable, reliable, and efficient software solutions. * Collaborate with researchers, data scientists, and technical teams to implement innovative tools and workflows. * Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices. * Conduct software testing, debugging, performance optimization, and system improvements. * Integrate software components, APIs, databases, and external research tools as required. * Support data processing, analysis pipelines, automation solutions, and research technology projects. * Participate in technical discussions, architecture planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. * Prepare technical documentation, reports, and user guides for developed solutions. * Stay updated with emerging technologies, programming practices, and research software trends. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. * Proven experience in software development, research software engineering, or a similar technical role. * Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or equivalent. * Experience with software development methodologies, version control systems, and collaborative development environments. * Knowledge of databases, APIs, cloud technologies, and software architecture principles. * Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality software. Preferred Qualifications * Experience working on academic, scientific, or industry research projects. * Familiarity with data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or computational research tools. * Experience with Linux environments, automation, and DevOps practices. * Knowledge of software security, optimization, and performance tuning. * Previous experience working in multidisciplinary technical teams.
