Senior Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer – MEP (8–12 Years Experience) We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated **Senior Electrical Engineer – MEP** with **8–12 years of experience** in the design, coordination, and execution of electrical systems for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in power distribution, lighting, ELV, fire alarm, and electrical building services, with the ability to lead engineering teams and ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities * Lead the design, review, and coordination of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, fire alarm, and ELV systems. * Prepare and review electrical calculations, load schedules, single-line diagrams (SLDs), specifications, and technical reports. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations, and international electrical standards. * Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and BIM teams to deliver integrated project solutions. * Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafting teams. * Attend client, consultant, and site coordination meetings to resolve technical issues. * Support project execution, testing, commissioning, and final handover. * Conduct site inspections to ensure installations comply with approved drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements. * Participate in value engineering, cost optimization, and project planning activities. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. * **8–12 years of experience** in MEP consultancy or contracting, with extensive experience in electrical building services. * Strong knowledge of power systems, lighting, fire alarm, ELV, earthing, and lightning protection systems. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. * Experience with Autodesk Revit MEP and BIM workflows is preferred. * Familiarity with local authority regulations and international electrical codes and standards. * Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within project deadlines. Preferred Skills * Experience in large-scale commercial, residential, mixed-use, healthcare, or industrial projects. * Knowledge of electrical design software such as ETAP, Dialux Evo, or Amtech is an advantage. * Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Navisworks, and BIM coordination processes. * UAE/GCC project experience is preferred. * Professional certifications or memberships are an added advantage.
