Senior IoT / ThingsBoard Integration Engineer – IBM Maximo Integration

Execution Pioneers is looking for an experienced IoT Software Integration Engineer / Developer to support the development and implementation of a centralized Smart Fuel Management Platform. The engineer will be responsible for configuring and customizing a self-hosted ThingsBoard platform, integrating field data received through industrial IoT/Edge Gateways, developing operational dashboards and fuel-management workflows, and supporting integration with IBM Maximo. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience with ThingsBoard, preferably self-hosted deployments, configuration, rule chains, dashboards, device management, and custom development. Strong knowledge of IoT/IIoT architecture and integration of field devices through Industrial Edge/IoT Gateways. Experience with MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, JSON, and Modbus TCP/RTU. Experience integrating IoT platforms with third-party enterprise systems through REST APIs. Experience with IBM Maximo integration is highly preferred, including Maximo REST APIs / integration framework or equivalent enterprise asset-management integration experience. Strong database knowledge, preferably PostgreSQL, including data modeling, queries, historical data management, backup, and recovery. Ability to develop professional dashboards, KPIs, alarms, reports, historical trends, and drill-down visualization. Experience developing business logic and workflows based on incoming IoT data, rather than simply displaying raw sensor values. Experience with RFID-based systems, fuel-management systems, ATG, flow meters, telemetry, or industrial monitoring systems is highly preferred. Familiarity with Industrial Edge Gateways such as Moxa AIG Series or equivalent is preferred. Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud infrastructure, preferably self-hosted environments on Saudi-based cloud infrastructure such as STC Cloud, Oracle OCI, or equivalent. Understanding of cybersecurity, API authentication, role-based access control, secure communication, data backup, and system availability. Ability to provide complete technical documentation, source/configuration files, API documentation, administrator access, training, and system handover. Key Technical Skills ThingsBoard | MQTT | REST API | JSON | PostgreSQL | IoT/IIoT | Edge Gateway Integration | Modbus TCP/RTU | IBM Maximo Integration | Cloud Deployment | Dashboard Development | RFID Integration | Data Analytics & Reporting Project Scope The selected engineer will support the implementation of the following architecture: ATG + Flow Meter + RFID → Moxa Industrial Edge/IoT Gateway → Satellite Internet → Saudi-Hosted Cloud → ThingsBoard Self-Hosted / EP Smart Fuel Management Platform → Dashboard + Database + Reporting → REST API Integration → IBM Maximo The platform will initially support approximately 3–4 mobile operating sites/spreads, with scalability up to 9 concurrent sites. The engineer should be capable of developing the platform from incoming gateway data all the way to a complete operational application, including fuel inventory, RFID/equipment management, individual fuel transactions, consumption analysis, alarms, reporting, mobile-site management, and Maximo integration. Important: Candidates should provide examples of previous ThingsBoard/IoT integration projects, particularly projects involving custom dashboards, MQTT/Edge Gateway integration, REST API development, and enterprise system integration. Preferred Candidate We are particularly interested in a hands-on engineer/developer who can execute the complete solution, not only provide consultancy or project management. The assignment may initially be offered on a project/freelance or contract basis, with potential for further collaboration based on project requirements.
