Senior Network and Security Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Network & Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, high-performance enterprise network infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions. Main Responsibility Network Architecture & Design Lead the design and implementation of complex network topologies across core, distribution, and access layers. Architect and maintain high-availability and redundant network systems using Cisco ,PaloAlto and Fortinet platforms. Manage advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and technologies (VXLAN, MPLS, SD-WAN). Oversee WAN optimization, load balancing, and network segmentation. Design and manage data center interconnects and DR replication links. Security Engineering Define and implement multi-layered network security controls (firewalls, WAF, IPS/IDS, DDoS, and NAC,Sandbox,Deceptor,EDR…etc). Manage and optimize firewall rule bases, policies, and security zones (Palo Alto, FortiGate, Cisco FTD). Integrate and maintain SIEM, SOAR, and endpoint protection solutions with the SOC. Conduct security risk assessments, audits, and incident response procedures. Implement Zero Trust, ZTNA, and secure remote access architectures. Operations & Projects Lead migration and upgrade projects. Ensure high uptime and performance for mission-critical systems and links. Collaborate with SOC and IT teams for threat detection, response, and hardening activities. Prepare and maintain HLDs, LLDs, As-Built documents, and change management reports. Manage vendor relationships and participate in solution evaluations and POCs. Leadership & Mentoring Serve as a technical escalation point for complex network and security issues. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal skill development programs. Participate in strategic planning and contribute to network and security roadmaps. Ensure adherence to best practices, policies, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST). Skills & Requirements Technical Expertise In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and next-generation firewalls. Strong hands-on experience with: Firewalls: Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco Secure Firewall (FTD/ASA) Switching/Routing: Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, C9500, 9200, 9300 Series Security Platforms: FortiSIEM, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSOAR, Trend Micro, or similar VPN & Tunneling: IPsec, SSL VPN, VXLAN over IPsec Load Balancers: FortiADC, A10, or F5 Familiar with NDR, EDR, WAF, ZTNA, and SASE architectures. Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Nutanix) and cloud security (Azure/AWS). Strong understanding of network monitoring and performance tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent). Soft Skills Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills under pressure. Strong leadership, communication, and documentation abilities. Strategic thinker with focus on security governance and continuous improvement. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
