Senior Process Engineer

Raban Al Safina Group (RAS) is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our Bin Omar Project team.📍 Location: IraqKey ResponsibilitiesLead process engineering activities for Oil & Gas projects throughout engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.Review and evaluate process design deliverables, including Process Design Basis, Design Criteria, Process Design & Operating Philosophies, P&IDs, process datasheets, and specifications.Review Heat & Material Balances (H&MB) prepared by FEED consultants and EPC contractors.Verify detailed process calculations, including equipment sizing, line sizing and hydraulics, pressure drops, pumps, compressors, separators, vessels, heat exchangers, control valves, relief valves, flare and blowdown systems, and utility requirements.Review equipment lists, line lists, valve lists, utility summaries, and process stream tables.Verify process parameters for major equipment and packaged units, including gas separators, dehydration and sweetening units, compression systems, gas processing plants, stabilization units, LPG/NGL recovery systems, flare and relief systems, produced water treatment, fuel gas, and utility systems.Ensure process designs comply with project requirements, client specifications, applicable international codes, and standards.Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, Telecom, and other disciplines to ensure integrated engineering solutions.Review vendor and subcontractor engineering documentation and provide technical comments.Prepare and review Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs) and participate in technical clarification meetings with suppliers.Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, Bow-Tie, and other process safety studies.Review process control philosophies, Cause & Effect diagrams, shutdown philosophies, and alarm/trip requirements.Participate in 3D model reviews, design reviews, constructability reviews, operability reviews, and interdisciplinary reviews.Identify engineering risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, specifications, and project documentation.Mentor junior Process Engineers and provide technical guidance.Ensure compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and company engineering procedures throughout project execution.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.7–8 years of Process Design experience in the Oil & Gas sector, covering upstream, midstream, and downstream projects.Strong knowledge of Process Engineering software. Good understanding of Oil & Gas processing facilities and process systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, senior management, contractors, vendors, and consultants.PMP Certification is preferred.If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in joining our team, please send your updated CV to:📧 [email protected]
