Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting functions, ensure financial accuracy and maintain compliance with UAE regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT and Corporate Tax regulations in the UAE, financial reporting standards, and accounting systems. **Key Responsibilities** · Record and post all day-to-day financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner in the accounting system · Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts · Prepare and process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations · Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable · Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements · Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and timely VAT filing · Prepare and file UAE corporate tax returns in compliance with FTA requirements and deadlines · Maintain corporate tax records, supporting schedules, and documentation for audit and regulatory purposes · Monitor changes in UAE corporate tax law and ensure the company remains compliant · Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis · Support external audits by providing required documentation · Liaise with banks, auditors and government authorities as needed · Proven track record of working autonomously in a small company, branch office, or standalone finance function (rather than as part of a larger finance team) **Qualifications & Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * Professional qualification preferred (e.g., Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, CPA, CMA, CA) * Minimum **4-6+ years of accounting experience** in the UAE. * Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax laws, financial regulations and IFRS standards * Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g. SAP, QuickBooks, Tally, or Oracle) * Advanced skills in MS Excel * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * High level of accuracy and attention to details * Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision **Preferred Skills** * Experience in UAE-based industries such as IT, trading, or transportation * Professional experience in other GCC countries Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate: * Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: * Accountant: 4 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
